Gift Shop and Admissions Desk Renovation |
|||||||
| Before the renovation, visitors were greeted by a person sitting behind a small desk in front of a flat cinder block wall that had a few souvenir items on shelves for sale. Behind this wall was a fairly large storage room.
The renovation as designed opened up the wall to provide space for a giftshop as well as creating an area for an admissions desk and office. The admissions desk was situated to pull the visitor toward the entrance to the exhibit galleries. The Museum store sign was situated so that it would greet visitors after coming out of the exhibit galleries. We also installed a window between the giftshop and admissions area as a teaser to show visitors that a giftshop was waiting for them at the end of their visit. |
